Part Feeders / Orienters

Bulk Part Supply system designed to singulate and orient parts. We
manufacture several varieties of feeders, and have been known to invent a
new method just to meet project requirements. This has enabled us to match
best feed method to the application giving our customers more reliable, cost
effective feed systems.
Built to Standard or Custom Specifications.
- Tracks

Tracking systems maintain orientation while transporting parts to
the desired location. Normally an assembly station. We manufacture
everything from conveyors to walking beams.

Bulk Storage
-
Bulk Storage is designed to hold parts in bulk and meter them into
the feed system for consistent part levels in the feed system. Consistent
part levels produce a more reliable feed rate and minimize jams in feeder
tooling caused by flooding.
Bulk storage devices range from 1/4 cubic foot hoppers to 20 cubic foot
gondola dumpers.

Mechanisms

Mechanisms are normally incorporated into the feed system to
present parts one at a time with some predetermined time separation or to
orient parts mechanically. Some Mechanisms incorporate a vision system
to detect part features that normal feed systems can not. Fine
internal features and internal machining are good examples of this.

Inspection Stations
-
Inspection Stations perform quality control functions. This
may be done with a small PLC using except and reject logic, Vision Systems
can check hundreds of aspects to insure parts are within design
specifications, Gage rolls and similar mechanical Mechanisms can be employed
to sort, except/reject parts. The list is virtually endless. The
requirements always dictate the method in which quality is measured and each
design is application specific.
